Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators through public information points and event-based activities. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, a local news europe today organiser, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide straightforward information on drug risks, with particular attention to cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. Organisers say, the Vienna activities aim to reach teenagers early, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools.
